Background
Musica Kirklees provides music education to schools and families across the Kirklees area for lessons, ensembles, school concerts and community events. With over 190 schools and colleges involved and thousands of pupils receiving tuition, the volume of enquiries, applications and bookings coming through is significant.
The previous website could not keep pace with that. Routine content updates were taking two to three hours and frequently ran into plugin conflicts that stopped the team from making changes at all. Lesson applications, event bookings and general enquiries were handled through a mix of systems that did not connect. The admin team was spending time managing software rather than supporting families.
They needed a single platform that could handle applications, events and content without technical support.
What we built
We built the site on Rapid CMS, our own content management platform. Unlike WordPress, it carries no plugin dependency. The features the site needs are built in rather than bolted on, which means no conflicts, no unexpected breakages after updates, and no waiting on a developer to fix something routine.
The platform uses a component based approach to content with re-usable Content blocks for lesson information, ensemble details, news items and event listing. When something changes, the Content blockis updated in one place and reflected everywhere.
Lesson application form
Parents can find and apply for music lessons online through a structured step by step form built around how families actually fill it in. Applications flow directly into the admin system for processing, with no manual handling in between. The form design is tailored with clear steps, relevant fields, nothing unnecessary which keeps completion rates up and reduces the back and forth that comes with incomplete submissions.
Event and ticket booking
Concerts and ensemble performances are listed through an events calendar with integrated ticket booking. Schools and families can browse upcoming events and reserve places without contacting the office. The admin team adds and updates events directly through the platform.
Content management
News, lesson information, ensemble pages and event details are all managed by the admin team through the platform back office. No technical knowledge required, no external agency needed for routine updates. What previously took two to three hours now takes around 15 minutes.
AI filtered enquiries
Inbound form submissions are filtered automatically before they reach the team. Genuine enquiries and applications are prioritised, spam and low quality submissions are screened out. The admin team spends their time responding to families rather than clearing out noise.

Does this sound familiar?
This project may be relevant if your team is spending significant time on routine content updates, if plugin conflicts or platform limitations are slowing things down, or if you need application and booking workflows that connect properly with how your operation runs.
We work with education providers, membership organisations and public facing services that need a content platform built for the volume and variety of content they actually manage. Not a general purpose tool they have to work around.
