Platform Events system modernisation

The Challenge

Platform Events co-ordinate premium B2B matchmaking events to connect buyers and suppliers from the same business sectors e.g. Catering, Facilities Management, Construction Project Development. Pivotial to preparations is their Events Portal which handles buyer and supplier profiles, meeting scheduling, event management, and relationship tracking. Further to they used Form Assembly for delegate registrations and were subject to an expensive invoice for its continued operation.

The challenge was to stablise and bug fix the current Events Portal and introduce a cost effective alternative from Form Assembly.

The Approach

Incremental Migration Strategy

Rather than a risky "big bang" replacement, we're gradually migrating functionality from the ASP C# .NET system to a modern framework, moving forms and features piece by piece while maintaining full operations.

 

Salesforce Integration

The new system integrates with Salesforce, enabling better client relationship management, sales pipeline tracking, and data synchronization between event management and CRM.

 

Replace Form Assembly for Delegate Registration

Forms that were cumbersome in the old system have been rebuilt with modern UX patterns, improving data entry efficiency for the team managing hundreds of buyer and supplier relationships.

 

Business Continuity

Throughout the migration, the system continues to support ongoing events, buyer registrations, and supplier relationships with no downtime or disruption to operations.
